On completion of an existing tour, we have a very useful and practical short trip of 4/5 days:
Delhi - Guwahati - Kaziranga - Guwahat - Calcutta.

Day 1 - Delhi - Guwahati - Kaziranga

After Breakfast drive to the domestic airport, New Delhi and catch the flight to Guwahati at about 0800 hrs. After a flying time of 2 hours you will land at Guwahati.
Drive to Kaziranga National Park on National Highway # 37 on landing, after a 4 hour drive you reach a UNESCO heritage site and one of India's best National Parks.
Heck into Bon Habi Resort. All meals and overnight stay at Bon Habi.
Lying along the Brahmaputra River , huge swampy meadows of tall elephant grass with regions of evergreen and moist deciduous forest supports the largest population of the great Indian one-horned Rhinoceros in the subcontinent. It has been under strict conservation since 1926.

Mammals: Rhinoceros unicornis (Rhino) about 1500 plus, massive wild Buffalo - this ferocious bovine can weigh up to 915 kilograms, Indian Bison, herds of Elephants, wild boar, Barasingha (swamp deer) and Hog Deer, Hoolock Gibbons, Capped Langur, Sloth Bears, Leopards, Tigers, Jungle cats, Otters, Hog Badgers, Jackal.

Bird Life: An Ornithologist's delight the grasslands are raptor country with crested serpent eagle, the paellas fishing eagle and grey headed fishing eagle can be seen circling over the marshes. The water-bird species include swamp partridge, bar-headed goose, whistling teal, the Bengal florican, storks, herons and even pelicans the numerous water bodies are rich reservoirs of food (including fish) and thousands of migratory birds, representing over 100 species, visit the park seasonally from as far as Siberia. Major migratory birds are the grey pelican, black-necked stork, lesser adjutant stork, Pallas's fish eagle, grey-headed fish eagle, about 25-30 Bengal floricans, swamp partridge, grey peacock-pheasant, great pied hornbill, green imperial pigeon, and silver-breasted broadbill.

Reptiles: A wide variety of snakes including the rock python and monitor lizards.
Safaris: In addition to elephant rides, several watch towers have been set up for elevated viewing of the wildlife park and with 4x4 wheel driven jeeps.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Kaziranga National Park.

Day 4 Kaziranga National Park - Guwahati - Calcutta/Delhi

After breakfast drive for to Guwahati domestic airport and catch a flight to either Calcutta or Delhi for your flight back home. Bon Voyage.
