Day 1: Depart from home
We take a connecting flight to Mumbai, India. (Meals Aloft)
Day 2: Mumbai
We arrive in Mumbai (formerly called Bombay) International Airport, Welcome & assistance by Tiger Expeditions Representative and transfer to Hotel Airlines International, Mumbai. Overnight stay in the hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Mumbai/Rajkot/ Sasan Gir
Early morning at 04:30hrs we transfer to domestic airport to catch Jet Air flight #9W3409 at 05:25hrs to Rajkot at 06:45hrs arriving at Rajkot straight drive to Sasan Gir (4 hrs drive/ 160 kms). If time permit then afternoon safari in Lion reserve. Arriving at Sasan Gir to check in Gir Birding Lodge. Overnight at Lodge. (B, L, D)
Day 4/6: Sasan Gir Asiatic Lion Reserve
We enjoy morning and afternoon safari to explore rarer Asiatic Lion in the Lion Interpretation Zone. (B,L,D daily)
Day 7: Sasan Gir/Junagarh via Somnath excursion / Gondal
Early morning we proceed to Somnath enroute visiting Veraval – one of the India’s major fishing ports. Visit Bhalkeshwar temple and Bhid Bhanjan Mandir. In Somnath visit the seat of the twelve most sacred "Jyotirlingas’ of Lord Shiva. Somnath is among the most important pilgrimage sites on India's west coast. Later drive to Gondal (3hrs drive/170 km). Visit Avlakha Palace complex, which is one of the oldest and most beautiful of Gondals monuments. Gondal has much to offer by way of sightseeing to the visitors. Then transfer to Hotel Orchard Palace. Overnight stay at hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Gondal/ Ahemdabad
After breakfast at hotel we drive to Ahmedabad (3 hrs drive/175 km). Check in Hotel Lemon tree, after lunch Visit Sidi Bashir Mosque & Ahmed Shah Mosque which was one of the earliest mosques in the city. Overnight stay at hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Ahemdabad/ Delhi
After early Morning breakfast we drive to domestic airport (12km/ 30min drive) to catch Spice jet flight #SG106 at 1005hrs to New Delhi at 1120hrs. On arrival transfer to Hotel Saptagiri, Near International Air port, New Delhi for wash & fresh. Following our special farewell dinner at this hotel we transfer to the airport for the international flight check-in. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Back Home
