Kaziranga boasts the highest density Tiger population of any national park in the Indian subcontinent, with 32 tigers per 100 square kilometers, according to the latest wildlife census. While the very tall grasses in Kaziranga make seeing Tigers a challenge, the park is home to a wealth of other interesting mammals including Asian Elephant, wild Water Buffalo and Indian One-horned Rhinoceros. Kaziranga also boasts an impressive bird list, with Spot-billed Pelicans and Black-necked, Greater and Lesser Adjutant Storks, and Bengal Florican among its many avian attractions.
