OPTIONAL POST-TRIP EXTENSIONS

India , the seventh largest country in the world has an unparalleled wildlife comparable only to the continent of Africa . Geographically, genetically and culturally India is perhaps the most diverse country on planet earth. Bound by great mountains (the great Himalayan range) in the North, it offers visitors great oceans, desert, thick forests and wetlands. To enable you see 'wild India' we have neatly organized and put together a few short 'Extension trips'. After completing the Expedition, the group or individuals can continue on these extension trips.

AGRA - CORBETT NATIONAL PARK

Day 13: Final morning in Bandhavgarh. Board overnight train to Agra.

Day 14: Full day sightseeing in Agra . Board overnight train to Corbett National Park .

Day 15/18: Corbett National Park . Arrive at Lalkuan Railway station at 0845 hrs. Drive for an hour to reach Ramnagar in an air conditioned vehicle. your stay will be specially arranged at DHIKALA - an small rest house in the heart of the Reserve, this is fascinating and unique experience as you get to live inside the park and your safari vehicles are parked just next to your rooms. All modern facilities and amenities are available for your comfort. (B, L, D)

Day 18: After lunch drive to Delhi . (B, L, D)

Day 19: Delhi - Fly back home.

DELHI - KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Day 13: Final morning in Bandhavgarh. Board overnight train to Delhi .

Day 14: At 0930 hrs arrive at Nizamuddin Railway station; Transfer to hotel. Full day sightseeing at Delhi . Overnight stay at hotel. (B, L, D) 

Day15: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for our flight at 1000 hrs to arrive Guwahati at 1215 hrs. Upon arrival, drive for 4 hrs to Kaziranga National Park, where it becomes apparent that the people of Assam have a more pronounced Asian influence than those of any place visited. Assam is the biological crossroads for the flora and fauna of the Malay Peninsula , China , Himalayas and the Indian subcontinent. Here, the forests are primarily tropical evergreen rather than the deciduous type found in dryer areas. Arrive late afternoon at the Bon Habi Resort. (B, L, D) 

Day16 to 17: Two full days at Kaziranga, exploring the park by open 4X4 WD Jeep and on elephant back. Accommodation at Bon Habi Resort. (B,L,D Daily) 

Day 18: After breakfast, depart for Guwahati to board a flight to either Calcutta (Kolkata) or Delhi . Upon arrival, transfer to the Hotel for dinner before departing on our late evening flight.  (B,L,D) 

Day 19: Fly back home.
